Human nature is enigmatic can be deceptive yet very much interesting.Likewise Friendship.Nowadays it is pretty difficult to find someone who is worthy of your trust.There is every chance that he or she can betray you.But still people opt to chose a person as a friend and share his/her feelings with him\her.The question naturally comes into our mind why?.The answer is simple.Everyone prefers to be bonded.It's one of the innate human characteristics.Man is a social animal.now the next obvious question is who is this friend?
I think there is no definition of a friend or I should say textbook definition like if a certain person contains these characteristics you can depict him/her as friend.Friendship is universal,demanding,unapologetic,caring and yet a delicate relationship.A Friend is one whom you can trust with your darkest thoughts,your fantasies,sinister desires,whom you can call at 3:00pm at night and ask for classnote,whom you can depend upon to convince your girlfriend that you have been entirely honest with her(which is extremely difficult),whom you can fight with and who is loyal to you.
A Friend is one who can show you the right way,not necessarily he/she has to share the same opinion.Now the most difficult question is how can you chose until it is too late? My suggestion is time is the best parameter..
To be honest and be a bit harsh the concept of friendship is rewritten now.It's no longer unconditional.Everyone follows a 'Give and Take policy'.This depicts the mindset of men and women of modern times.This is the bane of education. A great man once said "Education is the manifestation already in man".Education is not all about some marks,grades and at the end earning a hell lot of a money.It's about being human(both literally and figuratively).
So,I request every person who reads this post please try to be unselfish towards your friend(Only after finding the right person).It will help you to be better person,a better citizen and as a reward you will be bestowed piece of mind,which I think nowadays pretty difficult to find.
So to keep things simple lets say "A friend in need is a friend indeed."
